Some shots from about 10 days ago down by the boat launch, ~ 11PM. The ice in the East three channel was still stuck at that time but has since moved out; also a few of the omnipresent seagulls that have been in the area for the last month or so.
Further along the river bank and past the two derelict vessels, I took some images looking back at Inuvik downtown in the evening sun. Also visible are the exhaust stacks of the Power Corp facility – looking for the most part like giant versions of automobile exhausts.
There must have been a fire somewhere as a thin veil of smoke was drifting over the Delta from parts unknown - likely the Aklavik side. Rare to see airborne particulate around here
There is a very interesting antenna array at the far end of Navy Road - been there for as long as I have been coming to Inuvik. looks to be sending out a very strong radiation pattern in a particular direction, or two.
...and some images looking back along Navy Road from a small knoll along the way - right next to the house where a rather unique individual lives.
