Beaver hanging out by the road trying to stem the flooding of a pond from an adjoining creek. Motly he/she seemd interestd in sunning on a pice of leftover ice attached to some willows.
the creek...
Tsiigehtchic at 2 AM in the morning, grouse on the road about 3 AM and Rengleng River about 3:30 AM. tons of rabbits and grouse on the road as most of the bush was flooded out and they were all looking for a bit of dry land. Easily saw 150 rabbits and 20 grouse in an 60 km stretch of road
and once again at the Campbell Lake viewpoint, a week later the ice was gone.
