Some shots of the Delta, looking across to the mountains behind Aklavik from the last month or so...
Was up a Jak Park viewpoint a number of times in September as it's a good place to look across the Delta over Aklavik way. Good couple of bike trails as well, even some single track that isn't a mud bog. Srange in that the flora is like the central interior of BC. It's like being,say in Vanderhoof, aside from the trees here are miniature versions of those down south. Doesn't feel like being in the Arctic at all, sometimes...
By the way the, third generation uploading of these pix just tears the tonal gradations of the low light on some of these images, the ones that are showing purple should be nice and black, hate it, 3 of the following come to mind. Much better when Google isn't trying to autocorrect purposefully underexposed portions of an image, lol
