Was down in the south this weekend. Funny that I had to go 2000 kms south just to go track skiing, but it was good. Left Calgary International and it was -18 got to Inuvik where is was -6. The day before it went to +4, so the streets in town are now all icy. Skiing at Lake Louise on Sunday got me motivated enough to try skiing on the lakes here. so after getting off on the place I went out to Boot lake and it was actually not bad at all, for a flat surface. the warm temps have actually bonded the little snow we have to the ice surface so you're not breaking the layer apart on each skate stride, most of the time anyways; better than nothing.
I meant to post this earlier but was in a rush to get ready for the weekend of travel and running around and late planes
